Humana Europe believes that healthcare services should ensure the highest standards of care when dealing with personal information and data. This approach amplifies requirements under the Framework for External Support for Commissioners (FESC) which lists the many compliances that apply to organisations such as Humana Europe. We also build on a strong and respected base of acting as the guardians of the details of healthcare for many millions of Federally-funded patients in the US by our parent body.

Our Caldicott Guardian and his team scrutinise all Humana Europe proposals and contracts to ensure that all NHS requirements and better information security practice are applied to our work. We are certified to ISO 27001, and have robust quality assurance processes in place which cover both our HQ and service delivery. These include detailed information governance processes, such as a continued audit programme, penetration testing and vulnerability scans of our system to ensure security and educational interventions with staff. We work to the requirements identified in the NHS Information Governance Toolkit.
